If you're like me, you know drinking water is good for your body but it gets boring.  I have found a simple trick that gets me drinking water.  I have started adding a drop or two of Young Living Essential Oils in my water bottle every time I fill it up.

Some of my favorite oils to use include orange, citrus fresh, lemon, grapefruit, jade lemon, and peppermint.

By adding these oils to my water, I am now exceeding my recommended water consumption totals.

When using oils in your water, it is best to use a glass bottle.

Don't Let the Bugs Get You

With the arrival of summer, comes the arrival of bugs, flies and mosquitoes.  I absolutely hate bugs but I also hate using bug spray because I dislike the feeling of how it coats/cakes on my skin.  Since I have started using Young Living Essential Oils, I have made my own, natural bug spray.  Very simple to make, good for the environment and it doesn't leave my skin feeling like it has a layer of ickiness on my skin.

Ingredients:
Distilled Water
Witch Hazel
Thieves
Peppermint
Purification

In an 8 oz spray bottle, add 4 oz of witch hazel, 4 oz of distilled water, 10 drops of Thieves oil, 10 drops of Peppermint oil and 10 drops of Purification oil.  Put the top on, shake the bottle and spray.  You can now enjoy the outdoors without having to swat bugs away.

NingXia Red - What the heck is that?!?!?

Young Living has a product called NingXia Red and not only is it great for the body, it tastes great.  In my house, we call it "Red" and my children and I drink it every day.  Red is like a multi-vitamin with tons of nutrients and supports the body's overall health and well, from head to toe.  The ingredients of Red include the superfruit wolfberry and juices from blueberries, cherries, pomegranates, and plums along with orange, lemon and tangerine essential oils.

We each drink 2 oz of Red on a daily basis.  I have noticed an increase of energy since I began drinking it.

The Only Cleaner You Will Ever Need

Young Living Essential Oils has a product called Thieves Household Cleaner.  This product will replace all of the cleaners that you currently use in your home and best of all, it is an all-natural, plant-based product.  I use Thieves Cleaner for EVERYTHING and have gotten rid of all my other household cleaners.  I spray it on the floor when I steam clean them and spray it directly on our granite counter-tops.  I also use it on the sinks, tubs, toilets, windows and everything else you can think of.  I even use Thieves Cleaner when doing the laundry.  This cleaner can also be used in the dishwasher because it does a great job at killing germs.  Thieves Household Cleaner is by far the best cleaning product out and one of the biggest bonuses is that it smells great.
